This was the view over the Polish countryside - taken just a few minutes ago. The sun setting against a blue sky and a lone Lufthansa A380 jet cruises high above on its way to China.

This was taken in the New Market Square about an hour ago. Love how the newly renovated building on the left is glowing with the setting sun. Great contrast against the crisp blue sky.

Yesterday, the sky was a rich blue which was the perfect contrast to this yellow building. We always keep on saying it...but here in Toruń you must always look up. When you do...the result it well worth it!

It's amazing what difference 24hrs makes! The first picture taken was yesterday morning as an Emirates A330 plane jets past over Poland against a rich blue sky. This morning we have woken up to thick fog and sombre grey clouds. Thats life I guess!

Wishful Thinking...

A glimpse of blue skies this morning over Toruń. Wishful thinking? I think so...Poland is still covered by snow on the ground and thick grey clouds above. Will the winter ever end? Of course it will! Just hold in there guys!

Clear Blue Skies...and Not a 747 in Sight!!

Poland lies bang on the long-haul international flight path and the skies are usually criss-crossed with white vapour trails. Not for the past few days that is. The skies were erriely quiet as volcanic ash from Iceland continues to wreak havoc to air travel around the world.

A Flying Contrast

Toruń is situated bang on the international flight path for many long-haul flights heading from Asia and vice-versa. This jet is one such airliner heading towards a European-bound destination. Particularly love the sharp white contrasts of the vapour trails against the blue sky. The cream building on the left is actually the bell tower of Toruń's university church

Spring is Finally Here!

The sun-baked walls, the crisp blue sky!! Yes, spring has finally arrived!! About time too! After four months of grey skies and thick, white snow...we were all beginning to get sick and tired of winter!

There is nothing like a good ole cup of coffee under the sun. As you can see the gloomy weather of Easter has long since gone...and we now have beautiful clear blue skies and alot of sunshine. This photo was taken yesterday in one of the many summer "beer gardens" that have now popped up around the main square of Toruń.
