Foggy Creek

There hasn't been much sky to see lately.  I do however, like the atmosphere created by the fog at Blacks Creek estuary.  Happy Skywatch Friday!

Singing In The Rain

"Brelli" in hand, this man is taking a rainy day stroll on Spectacle Island . . . I can help but think of that song that Gene Kelly made famous.  Long Island Bridge in Quincy Bay can just barely be seen through the fog.

A Complete Contrast

Yesterday...
...and today!
It's amazing what difference 24hrs makes! The first picture taken was yesterday morning as an Emirates A330 plane jets past over Poland against a rich blue sky. This morning we have woken up to thick fog and sombre grey clouds. Thats life I guess!

Hide And Seek

I really like the playfulness of the sun and the early morning fog. It's kind of like a game of hide and seek.

Happy Monochrome Monday everyone!

Winter Cloud

This is the first time I have seen winter fog on the creek. It was a special moment. I will share another view of winter fog on this week's Friday post.

The Winter Fog

With snow comes fog and tonight was no exception. This scene was taken at the crossroads on the Highway number 1 the main road from Toruń to Gdańsk. Below is a short video showing what it's like to walk alone down a country lane through the thick fog.

Fog in the Garden

Charleston, S.C.

John Prince asked in comments if I'd taken any fog pictures. He likely asked the question as I detoured through the hospital's meditation garden on my way in to work this morning. How lucky am I to work in a place like this?

Today is Volunteer Program Manager's Day. You didn't hear about it because we don't blow our own horns. We celebrated privately and took care of ourselves....volunteer managers from hospitals, aquariums, parks, outreach missions, food banks and senior centers...hundreds of thousands of hours of service flow through us in this town alone. So cheers to me and my hard working partners! Happy Volunteer Program Manager's Day!

All Aboard!

Captured, late at night on a foggy platform at Toruń's main railway station...this osobowy is north bound. Osobowy basically means 'People train'...and it is the cheapest type of railway service in Poland. Usually, because they are much slower...stopping off in many rural stations along the way.

Through the Fog

What a treat to see fog roll into the Quincy Bay and saltmarsh areas like it did this week. If you enlarge this image you can just make out the roof of the boathouse on Blacks Creek. It's amazing how large the sun looked through the fog. This is my contribution to Skywatch Friday. Click here for more skies from around the world.
