Stripers
These boats were captured while drying in the sun on the banks of Blacks Creek. I like the colorful red stripes of the Recreation Department boats. They are being readied for storage - a definite sign that summer is winding down.

A Winter Paddle

It was more then a delight to meet this kayaker at Blacks Creek yesterday. Joe knows how to make the most out of life. He said that kayaking gives him a sense of freedom and serenity beyond anything he could imagine. Joe took advantage of the unseasonable open waters yesterday, but a year ago the creek was frozen solid as you can see by clicking on the QDP post HERE.
Quincy is fortunate to have great recreational places like this one to enjoy year-round.
