Plugging the Strip Club

A few months ago a strip club opened up in Toruń's Old Town. Now you get these girls in pink skirts with pink umbrellas marching up and down Ul. Szeroka trying to entice guys to spend some money in their club.

There are many of these signs hanging outside shops along Ul. Szeroka.

A shiny advertising billboard provides an interesting reflection in Ul. Szeroka (Toruń's main high street).

Theme Day: Electricity

It's that time of the month again...the CityDailyPhoto theme day. This month is something connected to electricity (which is pretty much anything!). Here is a photo from our archive of Toruń looking it's best lit up (thanks to all the electrical lights!).

Flowers and Buildings

These beautiful flowers are to be found in Ul.Szeroka. Behind them you can see the rows of buildings of Ul.Mostowa and at the end - the bridge gate which used to connect to a bridge (hence the name) across the River Vistula.

Watching the World go by...

When it's a hot sunny day...and you live above the busiest street in Toruń; what better way to spend your time, than lean against the window sill and watch the world go by!

Never far from the Time

You're never far from the time here in Toruń...with clocks in most public places. Though of course I suppose you could just look at your watch!! ;-) There's one on top of the town hall tower, another on the church in the New Town Square, there's also a digital one on the side of the county hall offices. This one stands in the middle of ul.Szeroka by Empik.

The list of quirky statues in Toruń is growing every month. Here is a new one situated surprise surprise above a pen/stationary shop on the corner of Sz.Chełminska and Ul. Szeroka.

A Heavy Storm

This morning Toruń woke up to a real heavy thunderstorm. The heavens literally opened up. But within an hour the storm clouds had passed and what started out as a miserable morning soon became one of the hottest and humid days of the year!!
