Poles love to drink beer...but unfortunately they don't always throw their bottles away!

GUEST'S GALLERY: Toruń's Post Office

Toruń's post office has stood proudly in the old market square for many years. It's open 24hrs and now at last there is some queuing system (of sorts) in place! No more pushing and shoving by the Polish mohair berets (old women!).

Wouldn't want to sit on that bench!! Snow has settled and after 2 days...it's still here! Be careful though as many of the roads and pavements are very slippery!

GUEST'S GALLERY: Beer & Steps

Poland and beer! What a great combination. Our guest photographer Pete Tunnicliffe has captured another interesting shot of Polish beer...this time at the top of some steps of a tenement building in the old town. Wonder who had left it there? Why did they leave it there? Plenty of bins around!!! :-)

GUEST'S GALLERY: Polish Beer

To welcome in the new year TORUŃ DAILY PHOTO starts a new series of guest photos by British amateur photographer Pete Tunnicliffe. Pete is now currently living here in Toruń and has captured many amazing photos of this beautiful city.

Today, we have a simple yet stunning shot of a glass of Polish beer. Polish beer is much better than British in that it's stronger (average 6%), cheaper and goes down very smoothly. All round great beer!
