GUEST'S GALLERY: The Red Balloon

The Red Balloon may be the title of a classic 1956 French film...but it's also the subject of today's TDP Guest's Gallery. Our guest photographer Pete Tunnicliffe captured the random balloon on one of ToruĊ„'s cobbled streets.

day 35 - boots are for the weak

I don't own a pair of winter boots. Any cool factor I ever had is gone but I am still every bit as stupid as I was when I was a teenager.

It really hasn't been a problem to this point because from the time the snow falls to the time it melts I am only outside long enough to get from the car to my destination. It's starting to become a problem as the kids want to play outside in the snow now, so at some point I will have to cave in and buy some.

In the meantime, I am going to rock my Skechers.

Today I am linking up with You Capture where this week's theme is red.

More of the Red Beauty

Here is a close up of yesterday's building. If you want to see it yourself, this building is just off the new square in ToruĊ„.

Red-Bricked Beauty

I always keep on saying it...but when in ToruĊ„, it's important to always look up! You never know what splendours you may see. Here is no exception. With its red-bricked beauty and gleaming turrets, one would expect this to be ToruĊ„'s railway station. Instead, it's merely a small shopping centre...built around the turn of the last century. Impressive indeed!!

Rain-covered Flowers

A beautiful patch of red on an otherwise gloomy day. The weather here in ToruĊ„ has been terrible. What a cold and miserable May we are having. Still good rain for the flowers!!

Summer Scene

Here is a nice spot of colour to wake you up this morning! Beautiful flowers grown in my parents-in-law garden, 9kms north of Torun.
