Quincy has its own Guggenheim . . . sort of . . .the Quincy Adams train station.    Happy Monochrome Monday!

Waiting For The Red Train

These empty rails are a reminder that trains to Boston don't run as frequently on the weekends.

Back To The Future

I recently spotted this"Patriot" intently reading a pamphlet at the Wollaston train station. Do you think he might be reading about unfair taxes?

Theme Day: Public Transportation

It's November 1st which means it's "theme day" in the City Daily Photoblog Community. This is the Wollaston Train Station, one of Quincy's four stations on the MBTA Red line to Boston and Cambridge. Quincy also offers bus service throughout the community.

Redline

How is your Monday morning commute? Many people from Quincy commute into Boston to work and they take the Red-line train to get there.

On a Roll

You really need to click and enlarge this one. I did a double take when I saw this Boston Bruin's fan put on his helmet and make his way down the stairs on roller-blades at the Wollaston train station. There isn't an elevator for those train riders on wheels.

Geometric Light

We've had changeable skies this week in Quincy. This pole light is located on the platform at the Wollaston train station and this is my contribution to Skywatch Friday. Click here to see more skies from around the world.

Into Obscurity

This shot was taken at the North Quincy train station. The glass blocks used in the platform waiting area are always fun to take pictures through.

Park and Ride

I like the many touches of yellow in this picture at the Wollaston train lot. It's great to see some bicycles parked here.

Theme Day: Glass

It's first of the month and for the community of City Daily Photo Bloggers that is synonymous with "Theme Day". Glass is the theme this month. This photo was taken at the North Quincy Train stop. Click here for a previous station view. I've always liked these glass building blocks.

Don't miss seeing how others interpreted this theme:

Are the Fares Fair?

I wonder if the taxi fares have dropped with the recent drop in gas prices. This red cab is picking up a fare at Quincy Center Train Station.

Waiting

Having something to read always make the "waiting" time pass quickly. Do you find that as well?

This box got a fresh coat of paint outside the Quincy Center T station.

Before Rush Hour

This was taken outside Wollaston Train Station on Newport Avenue. How do you get to work: train, plane, bicycle, car, motorcycle, horse, boat, albatross or some other means?

Bike Parking

We have a few bicycle commuters but it looks as though we could use some more parking for these eco-friendly folks at Quincy Center T station. Have a great week.

It's Monday, and back to work for this woman following her shadow to the train station at Quincy Center. Have a great week, everyone.
