Last week TORUŃ DAILY PHOTO took you behind the scenes inside Toruń's TVN24 studio. Today we now show you the large and quite flash TV Toruń studio. It's from here where the local cable channel broadcast's its nightly news bulletin.

How did he come to be in Toruń? Many years ago in England for a conference on philanthropy, he met his future wife, Anna, a Polish woman from Łysomice. He quickly realized that he was ready to go for it everywhere and decided to train to be an English language teacher. A day after completing the course I was teaching in Torun - says Glenn.

Since then, it has now been over 8 years. Glenn now lives with his family in Łysomice and is a senior teacher at a language school in Torun.

Why he does he like the city? - Because Torun is just right. Not too big, not too small. And there are not many drunken Englishmen during stag nights - he laughs. He immediately added that what fascinates him is the original, historic architecture and unique atmosphere. He also mentions the world's best pizza with garlic sauce and dumplings from the oven.

Three years ago he founded the blog that publishes pictures of Torun and the surrounding area with a brief commentary. - Showing objects, people, phenomena and events that delight him here, and sometimes surprise or anger. But it's not a criticism, but to show a culture shock from the perspective of a foreigner - he explains.

On www.torundailyphoto.blogspot.com is a place for monuments and colourful blocks, people in Santa Claus costumes and uneral ceremonies after the Smolensk disaster, workmen working at heights without any safety precautions, decked Christmas trees and pobazgrane wall in an underground passage. "Torun Daily Photo" was mainly for foreigners who intend to come here for a while or longer. Glenn has to help. Usually it comes to giving tours, but sometimes it surprises readers. - Once an Englishman wrote to me who wanted to meet with his Polish aunt. He had no contact with her since World War II. Somehow we managed to find her and came to this meeting. Another time I got a request from abroad to recommend a florist in Torun. The boy wanted to surprise his fiancée, who for a few days had come to Poland - says Glenn.

He also mentions about a girl who decided to come to Poland and lives in Torun, after reading his blog. - Coincidentally, I was the first person she met upon arrival.

Glenn points out that thanks to "TDP" he has met many interesting people and also has learned to look closer at the world. - Wandering around with a camera, I see little things that escaped me earlier. And the more he sees Torun, the more it captivates him.

Do you imagine that you will spend the rest of your life here? - Maybe not the whole, but certainly for many years to come.

Nearly (3) Three years ago Cheltenham & many parts of Gloucestershire was flooded.

News of this was covered quite extensively both locally & nationally as well as in many parts of Europe as well. A fellow EU country, Poland, is experiencing extensive flooding, particularly in the South of the country. There appears to have been little or no media coverage both locally & nationally in the UK. Polish people make a great contribution to the local economy in Cheltenham & we would be lost without them. I think the flooding in Poland deserves more media attention that it is given. Flooding is a problem that is close to our hearts in Gloucestershire. Why hasn't the flooding in Poland been given the same extensive coverage that Gloucestershire was given (3) Three years ago. Poland is not a wealthy country so hopefully they are getting help from theEU.

Is anyone aware of a disaster fund, that is often the case, in the event of International natural disaters such as this occuring ? If so Where ?

COPERNICUS RETURNS TO TORUŃ!

Today, is a very special day here in Toruń...to celebrate the anniversary of Copernicus' birth (here in Toruń many years ago)...the great man himself has returned to our city!

In North Poland, they dug up the remains of Nicolas Copernicus to prove that they were indeed his. They then transported the remains all the way back to Toruń...and today (for one day only) the small sarcophagas with Copernicus' remains are on display inside the Cathedral.

TORUŃ DAILY PHOTO was granted a press pass and given access all areas (thanks to the Marshall's Office) to give you all an exclusive first-hand look at this historical event.

A local TVP Bydgoszcz news correspondent awaits her live link up back to the news studio.
