This house on Albatross Road in the Adams Shore section was built in 1910.  The large wrap-around porch lets the owners enjoy the ocean air.

This 1897 house on Gannett Road in the Adams Shore neighborhood makes me smile.  It not only has a fabulous porch but check out the double doors to the balcony and all the interesting angles.

This turn-of-the-century stucco house has a very unusual porch facade. I would have guessed this old house to be built in 1920s or 1930s but the city records show otherwise. I like the red roofing . . . makes me think of Prague.

This impeccably maintained Tudor Revival style house is located at the intersection of Sea Street and Quincy Shore Drive in the Adams shore section. Thousands of commuters pass by this house on their way to work each day. The flower beds and ornamental holders are usually changed for each season.

Dance of Light

I couldn't resist driving my car toward the ocean to see the dramatic storm clouds that were gathering. This is a beach near Terne Road in the Adams shore section of Quincy. The light was dancing all around the tidal flats as I was composing this picture for "Skywatch Friday". Make sure you visit the other skywatchers here.

This converted cottage on Post Island Road has a seawall for some protection during surging ocean storms which happen infrequently.

Sunday is for Church

The Bethel Church of the Nazarene on Empire Street in Adams Shore completes the "Sunday is for Church" series. The usual Christian symbol of the cross was not seen anywhere near the roof line. However, there were white raised crosses located under each window.

This makes for a total of 41 houses of worship in Quincy, population around 88,000.
