More desperate students!

Once again, the streets of Toruń were full today with costume-clad students trying to earn a few extra cash towards their beer. Last night there was or at least should have been a huge student concert near the university...but the weather was sooooo bad. Hours and hours of heavy showers. What a wash out!!

GETTING THEIR BEER MONEY!!!

It's that time of year again...when the students dress up in crazy costumes and beg for money. Not to raise for charity...but simply to fund their beer drinking lifestyle!! At least they're honest...and many people are quite happy to give them some cash. This year's JUWENALIA is shaping up to be a fun event with many incredible and ingenious costumes (though perhaps too many witches and goblins!!).

The Balloon Man

Spotted in town...this strange-looking guy twisiting and shaping bits of plastic!! All in the name of fun! A welcome addition to Toruń's summer street sellers (and certainly less noisy than those annoying bird whistles!!).
