The Toruń Dragon

This is a sculpture of the Toruń dragon. Legend has it that in the spring of 1746 two Toruń citizens saw a dark grey, shiny dragon (2 meters in length) flying low over the city. Love to know what they had been smoking!!! ;-)

The Interesting Drainage Pipe

Is it a snake or is it a dragon? Whatever it is...it is far more interesting than the simple drainage pipe that it really is. This unique feature can be found on High School 1 in the old town. Always pays to look up here in Toruń!

What's he doing here?!

Toruń...is well-known for it's attractive buildings and gothic charm. Walking around the quaint, cobbled streets you really feel as if you are back in medieval times. Most of the buildings must at least be listed...meaning you couldn't really add any monstrous effigy to a facade. But wait?!! What's this? A monstrous effigy of a dragon on the facade of a pancake restaurant?!!! One will never learn!! ;-)
