The air has been crisp and cool the last few mornings and it's been tempting to call in "too well to work". I am tossing in unused blossom shots for today's entry because they are fading quickly. The crepe myrtles are looking sparse and there are flower petals scattered on the pavement. Going, going, soon gone.

I can let the blossoms go but I sure would like to keep the fresh tomatoes.

Did I really promise to be at work to listen to a presentation at 6:45 am?  It made more sense at the time than it does right now.

Do I have to stop posting Halloween pictures? They were so much fun. I only had three little visitors at my door last night but I had the greatest time hanging out on Facebook looking at all the photos of kids of all ages and pets in costumes. It was almost as good as seeing them at my door.

I spotted this blossom decorating a gate on Meeting St. on Saturday when I was out hunting Halloween scenes. Isn't it gorgeous? It was propped there like a gift waiting for me.

Blossoms in the Unitarian Church Cemetery

There isn't much depressing about the riot of color in the cemetery on the grounds of the Unitarian Church. It's hard to resist overloading the blog with blossom pictures right now. I'm afraid this is what you are going to get for a while!

The pathway in the lower photo is from the entrance at the gate on King St.

I hope everyone has had a good weekend. Remember - when I am Queen, we will all have three day weekends.

Bursting into bloom at Magnolia Plantation Gardens

I walked in heaven this morning. The city is like a garden right now and the gardens are glorious. My annual pass expires on 4/3 so I was just in time to scamper through the blossoms without paying an entry fee.

The place was swarming with photographers tripping over each other trying to get the perfect shot. The crowd mainly consisted of photographers and little old ladies so I fit perfectly in both categories!
