The Blocks

Toruń's not all attractive...and the suburb of Rubinkowo with its soviet-era blocks is a typical example of communist town-planning.

A Breath of Fresh Air!

With most people living in blocks of flats and very few private gardens...it's not surprising that this cute dog wants to just catch a breath of fresh air...from within the confines of his flat. Love how half of its body is out of the window and not just its head!! Very cute indeed!

Blocks of Old buildings

Mounted on marble blocks these fine additions to Toruń convey old paintings of some of Toruń's most famous buildings. At night the glass is lit up...and makes a beautiful new feature to an already beautiful town. Shame that the dogs seem to use the blocks as toilets!! Notice what appears to be frozen pee on the bases!!!

Strangely beautiful

Despite all the concrete...there is something still strangeley beautiful about these blocks of flats. Especially, when captured glowing in the setting sun. Taken yesterday evening in the north suburbs of Toruń.
