When you are in Manekin restaurant in Ul.Wysoka...a word of warning for all you men who may need to use the loo. DON'T LOOK UP!! Hee hee!!! Otherwise you'll have these nasty guys looking back down on you. This is a real fun and quirky ceiling!

Mushroom soup in a Bread Bowl!!

This is delicious indeed. If you're ever in town make sure you head over to one of the 3 Manekin pancake restaurants here in Toruń. Whilst their pancakes are good...there is no denying that their cream of wild mushroom soup is even better! What makes it so amazing...is that it's served in a yummy bread bowl. So you get to eat the bowl...and save on the washing up later!!

All Steam Ahead!

This interesting painting is featured in the Manekin Union Pacific restaurant. We went there with friends on Saturday night...and had a really absurd experience (no fault of Manekin's). Hung my coat up on the provided hook. About 20 mins later a large group of Poles arrived and sat behind us. They took off their coats and hung them on top of ours. Later in the evening I went to get our coats...and unbelievably the group got very annoyed and angry that I had to take their coats off in order to get mine!!! Couldn't believe it! What did they expect? That we wait until they left. Was I not allowed to touch their coats?!!! Another example of quirky mentality!!

Western saloon...and pancakes

This is one of the 3 Manekin pancake restaurants in Torun. This one, in the main square is the most popular and is themed around the Wild West. One of the highlights on the menu is the mushroom soup that comes in its own bread bowl. Delicious!
