A planter planted

As work on the renewal of Hyde Market continues, a "planter" has now been planted in front of the red telephone box on the corner of Market Street and Clarendon Street.

As I was taking this photograph a passer-by remarked that it looked like a giant ashtray.

I'm not sure where the red bricks on the pallet are destined to go.
