Architect George E. Robinson designed this fine Colonial Revival commercial brick building in 1940 for a sum of $50,000. Robinson is better known for designing numerous fire stations in Quincy beginning with the Central Headquarters in 1938. This building located at 50 Adams Street, still has it's original slate roof and is just down the street from the Adams Mansion. It is occupied by South Shore Buick, America's oldest Buick dealership, and has been owned by the FitzGerald family for 85 years.
