Waiting in Numbers

These new traffic lights are popping up around Toruń. With the numbers ticking down in seconds to tell you how long you have to wait - it really helps to combat impatient drivers and pedestrians. A nice idea!

The Birds and More

A flock of birds fly low over the cold and snowy New Town of Toruń. A few things to point out. Apteka is the Polish word for pharmacy (easy to tell from its green cross), the Cotton Club is not THE Cotton Club and yes you really can get tattoos from the 3rd floor of that building on the right!

A View from the Warmth

Toruń is currently covered in a thick blanket of powder puff snow. It's cold, it's wintry...but hey I'm in the warmth of indoors...albeit at work (even on a Saturday!). This image, taken just a few moments ago, is the view from the main entrance of Speak Up school looking out into the white yonder.
