Quizzing it Once Again!

The pub quiz a couple of months ago was so successful that last night I organised another one. Once again we had a mixture of British expats mixed with Polish students of English. The questions varied from general knowledge and sport to the more quirky (a fish n chips and what happend on the 29th May round).

Fun was had by all!

Quizzing It!

Pub quizzes are a great British tradition. In fact, there are over 22,000 pub quizzes every week in the UK! So what better thing to do than bring the pub quiz tradition over here to Toruń. Last night, I organised the first ever English pub quiz and spent the following 3 hours of drunken fun as Quiz Master. It was a great success and well done to our team of students who won (actually beating expats from Britain!!). Roll on the next pub quiz very soon!

Chinese Take-away!

Chinese food is increasingly becoming more and more popular here in Poland. In Toruń alone we have several asian restaurants...including a Japanese sushi restaurant catering for Sharp's asian employees.

Recently opened is this new takeaway bar - 'Asia to Go' (part of a small chain of Polish outlets). The concept is simple...pay 9,99PLN and you get either chicken with noodles or chicken with rice in a box...all eaten down with the help of some chopsticks. It may be simple...but it's very tasty and is a welcome addition to Toruń's many eateries.
