This lobstering boat is moored on Town River. The Brig,"Souther" was built along this waterway and launched in 1840, as a Gold Rush ship. That must have been quite a sight under sail.

Lost trap

I spotted quite a few of these wire mesh lobster traps washed up on the beach at Lovells Island. At a cost of over $100 each . . . this is a big loss to the owners of these traps.
