Ed & Diana's Wedding... part II

Driving into Yosemite took my breath away. It's majestic.
What a memorable place to get married!
I loved everything about the feel of it there. Slow pace. Great food. Friendly people. Crisp air and warm sunshine. And trying to soak in the scenery around you everywhere you go.

When I first found Diana at the hotel, the morning of her wedding day, she was getting a manicure & pedicure in her beautiful suite and the girls were all hanging out, about to get their hair and make up done. (Beautiful hair and make up done by bellissimobrides.com) It was so relaxed, and the room had a subtle buzz of excitement. It was a gloriously sunny October day, cozy fires were buring in the hotel's grand fireplaces, and soon Ed would get to see his beautiful bride, downstairs in the room where they'd have their first dance later that night at the reception.

Diana looked gorgeous! Her dress, amazing.

After formal pictures we drove down to the chapel, and took some pictures before guests arrived for the ceremony.

After they sealed their love with a kiss, they went to the back of the church to ring the bell. I loved it!

Their cake was in this grand fireplace. It was the first thing you saw as you walked into the reception.







The toasts were some of the best I've ever heard! So clever and well said.
And the father of the bride made me, and a lot of people, cry with his sincere words.



And props to the best MC/DJ ever! dancingsky.org Wow, what a fun party! So much laughter and great dancing.



I'm so glad I got to be there to capture it.

Ed & Diana's Wedding... part I

So, I seriously wish I could post about 100 pictures of Ed & Diana's amazing wedding. :)
You know how you can tell if people were truly made for one another? Well, I think Ed & Diana beam this. It's that obvious. They are a beautiful couple.

I have a lot to share about their wedding, because I just loved all of their details. It's after midnight and I've got to go to bed, but I'll share more in the next post.

For now, I'm switching to a new album company that I'm really excited about, so here are a couple of lay out ideas I threw together tonight. It only shows a tiny peek of what went on before their ceremony. I know these are much smaller than you're use to seeing on here. Sorry! (I love big pictures!) But I'll post some larger ones later on. :)

Yosemite Destination Wedding

I had an amazing time photographing Ed & Diana's wedding. What a setting! I can't even describe it to you. They got married in an 1800's chapel next to a golden field with a view of Yosemite Falls. There were deer in the church yard after the wedding and the reception was at the amazing Ahwahnee Hotel.

Josh and I had a great time traveling together, exploring, shooting, and making friends. Destination weddings are so much fun. It will be great to share their photos with you when they're ready! This week I'll be posting more beautiful families & hs senior shoots!

I'm sitting in the airport right now, so I'll just share a few snap shots from our time in Yosemite. This first shot is in the Ahwahnee Hotel and the rest are from our day trip up to Glacier Point. I'll share more later, after I get home and look at them all. :)

I'm so excited to get home and see my babies!! I've never been away from them for 3-4 days! It was amazing to get away with Josh and have some time to ourselves, and shoot a gorgeous wedding, but boy do I miss those precious little voices and smiles. :)











I loved the giant rocks everywhere!

This little bear was looking for food. I'm glad he didn't seem to care that about 30 people were standing a couple hundred yards away.



This was my favorite thing to see. These mountain climbers were climbing El Capitan and were camping out for the night on the side of this mountain (porta-ledge). This rock is so flat; sheer granite face. I hopped out of the car to take this picture on our drive back to the lodge and I didn't have a tripod with me. I had a really slow shutter speed, so I leaned against the car and held my camera as close and still as possible. There's some camera shake, but it's still a decent snap shot.
