Unlucky Mate (but you're still out).....!

In summer this is a scene you'll see played out every weekend in parks and ovals all around Perth, junior cricket is huge! Watching this game for a short while yesterday at our local oval in 38C heat it reminded me of when Dave played when he was in primary school, although if I'm honest it was P who did the coaching and most of the watching. I find cricket a little boring, it seems to me that the same story plays out over and over! It goes like this, first there's the bowling.....

Then there's the walk back to the clubhouse.....

Group discussion (which some take more seriously than others), and then it starts all over again! Although I may seem a tad mocking, I do appreciate that it is a good healthy sport for young people to get involved in, teaching them patience, team spirit and for many the making of lifelong mates. Oh yes, and I believe our international cricket team can do quite well at times haha! Hope you're having a good weekend, happy Sunday..take care.....
