Power out.....!

We had a bit of 'commotion' on Tuesday evening, a young man, maybe trying to impress someone (?), did a series of wheel spins, lost control and crashed into a power pole immediately knocking out the power in the whole street  With bumper hanging off and his car smoking he sped away, probably realizing that a street full of very hot, angry residents, now without their air conditioning (40C) might be 'on the warpath' haha! Within minutes the fire brigade, police and Westernpower were on the scene. To cut a long story short, not knowing how long it would be before the power was restored, we drove to the marina and ate ice cream..good idea oui! The sun had just gone down, it was the 'blue' period that we all love and a good opportunity to take a few shots.....

When we returned home a few hours later Westernpower were doing their thing, power was on and we walked into a cool house. I was incredibly impressed and super relieved, in this weather they must get so many call outs, it could have taken days.
