When I took this shot way back in 2011 there was much controversy about the cost and design of the new Perth Arena. It was definitely needed, but because of the clearly radical style seen right from the beginnings of the build many called it an eyesore and worse. I had doubts myself, but watching it's progress and development into something quite unique, seeing the way it has brought the people of Perth together for concerts and sporting events has been inspiring. This just might be Perth's iconic building, it's already known around the world and my musings for the theme are this: never make hasty judgements before the final curtain call, change can be scary but that's not always a bad thing, keep an open mind..deep huh!!
