Horticultural assistance required.....!

I've just realized that as from Friday it is now officially winter here in Australia (June, July and August) and I don't think I've posted one autumn image. It's probably a case of 'too little, too late' but I didn't have to go far for this one, it's sitting in my front garden, and as I've been a touch 'off the last few days (oh woe is me, cough! cough! haha!) this is my one and only homage to autumn!! I'm sure when I planted this tree over ten years ago I was under the impression it was a Japanese Maple, but even though there are apparently over 400 varieties I don't seem to be able to find one with this shape of leaf.  It has soft green leaves in spring and summer, turning to red/orange in autumn and dropping off in winter and was classified as a small tree, which it is. Any ideas? Up at the crack of dawn and off to Boyup Brook and back today, a small country town 269 kms south/south east of Perth for a family 'do', will tell you all about it tomorrow, nearly 550 kms in one day phew! looking forward to it.. and not, all at the same time! Hope your Sunday is a little more relaxing, take care.....
Aimee took this one on her walk through Pinneroo Reserve today, it's like an 'autumn garland' oui!
