Ever since it began in 1994 every cup of tea sipped at a
'Biggest Morning Tea' event held all around Australia in the month of May, has to date raised over $100 million dollars ($8 million in WA). I have to say those statistics blew me away (last year alone $11.2 million dollars), I knew it was Cancer Council Australia's most popular and fun way to raise money, but that is outstanding and makes me extremely proud to be Australian! For the last few years I've been lucky enough to get an invite to Jenny's 'tea' which was held on Saturday, the weather was perfect (25C), the company delightful, the cakes delicious, all made by Jenny, served on the prettiest plates..ahh! the joy of eating cake without guilt. It's such a simple yet brilliant way to raise funds, I was wondering if similar annual events occur in other countries. Hope you have a good start to the new week, stay safe.....
