Black Swans and French drama.....!

The Black Swan is a feature on many WA emblems the most well known being the Flag of Western Australia and the WA Coat of Arms. If you have a quick check out of this link, look to the right of the page you will see that the Black Swan is fairly rampant around Perth. These cast iron lamp posts were designed especially for the Horseshoe Bridge which was built in 1903, one standing at the Northbridge entrance and the other on the city side. I think they look very dramatic with their bright red beaks and hopefully all the rain that we've had in the last few days will wash away those cobwebs!! Talking about dramatic.. the movie I mentioned yesterday 'Cafe de Flore' wasn't at all what I expected, after a bit of a confusing start, it developed into an incredibly intense but thought provoking story, it's not 'light hearted', then again a lot of French movies aren't, but it's definitely worth seeing.  It's going to be a soggy weekend in Perth, I'm looking forward to it!
