Missing piece of the puzzle.....!

If there's one thing that blogging has taught me it's how to work my way around Google!! It's all good, I'm finding out more about Perth than I ever did before, it's always interesting to discover new things about the city you live in! This 'grungy' area is between what was the Savoy Hotel built in 1914 and the Perth Town Hall built in the late 1860's on the corner of Hay and Barrack's Street. I almost wore my pointy finger out trying to find out what building was demolished in between them leaving this urban 'scar' for all to see. Turns out it was the R & I Bank (Rural & Industries Bank of WA) flattened in 1994/5, moving to St. George's Terrace and changing it's name to Bank of WA, and later to BankWest, mystery solved! No matter how hard I searched I couldn't find out anything about the mural on the wall between the two buildings, which looks like at one time it would have been visually appealing, but suffers now from the common mural affliction of graffiti. I hope your week is off to a good start, the weather here in Perth is bliss.....!
