When it's possible, especially if it's going to be a scorcher, I like to set my equilibrium straight by starting the day off really early with a big mug of coffee and a crossword puzzle outside in the fresh air before it gets unbearably hot. If it's through the week, it's usually a ten minute crossword from any magazines that might be hanging about, if it's the weekend and there's more time it's the cryptic crossword from the paper.
