day 88 - mommy's birthday present $

Over the weekend I spent my birthday money and bought something I have been looking at for a very long time - an iPod Touch. I know quite a few people who have them and love them and have been very impressed with what I have seen. My personal feelings on it so far? I think an intervention might be needed at some point. I've been on my laptop at night with one hand working away on it and the other testing out the iPod.

Anyway, the weather was beautiful today. It was nice to drive home in the sunshine. Sunshine for me equals rock music. I am Lady Gaga'd and Black Eyed Pea'd out and I enjoy getting in the car and going to work and being able to listen to anything I want and today I chose rock.



The other news around our house today was that a smart meter was installed on our house. I don't know much about it but I am on board with it. It will be interesting to see how it affects our hydro bills and to see how much energy we can conserve by doing laundry and running the dishwasher during off hours.



Oh and the highlight of the day? My mom picked the kids up from the babysitter, made dinner for the kids and I and gave them their baths so all I had to do was put them in bed. Thanks Mom!
