
These two pictures above were taken 9 days apart and show the latest Old Town street renovation. The first shot was taken on 8th October 2007 in the late afternoon after the workers had left for home. It amazes me that anyone would leave this amount of rubble unattended! Looks as if
an earthquake hit the town!The second image was taken just yesterday...and although it's not completed yet...you can see that there has been some progress. Though, was it really worth 9 days work?!!
Here in Poland, many workers are employed to do the job...yet many do seem to hang around often not doing anything (besides chatting, smoking, etc). Still at least the job is eventually done!
These road works are part of an extensive, on-going renovation of all the main roads within the Old Town of ToruĊ. The project has been going on for atleast 3 years and is still continuing!
