Bearly Washing!

Here is a strange sight indeed. Last weekend, my wife decided to air her impressive teddy bear collection. What better way...than hang them up on the washing line!!

Washing the football

As the majority of Poles live in flats, the only way to dry their washing is to hang it out on lines. This one is the view in a courtyard in the Old Town of Toruń. As you can see, someone enjoys football!!! Who doesn't these days?!

Ok...so it's not strictly a view direct from my bedroom window (that has been shown before). But it's VERY close! It's the view in the courtyard of our block of flats here in the Old Town of Toruń....complete with the neighbours' washing!

Get your washing out!

Most of the citizens of Toruń's Old Town live in tenement buildings and flats. So the only way to dry your washing is...hang it outside (when it's a nice day of course!!). The ruined wall you can see in the foreground is part of the old city wall, that at one time encircled Toruń.
