Visiting the Ice Skaters

British Olympic ice skaters David King and Stacey Kemp are still living and training here in Toruń. Last week, Stacey's family came to visit them...and TORUŃ DAILY PHOTO was there to capture the moment!

We were up at the crack of dawn rooting for our friends Stacey Kemp and David King who are currently competing at the 2010 Winter Olympics over in Vancouver. They skated a clean short set to the joyful beat of Linkin Park. Tonight, it will be another late night as they skate their free set.

Kemp and King (representing Great Britain) have been living here in Toruń for almost 2 years! Here is a picture of them training here last month (notice the panoramic view of Toruń behind them).

An Olympic School Visit

Some of my wife's school children were very lucky to come face to face with a 2010 British Olympic ice skater. Friend and local Torunian David King kindly agreed to answer some questions prepared by a group of 12 year olds at a local primary school. He also signed autographs for the lucky students.

David King together with his partner Stacey Kemp will be representing Britain at the 2010 Winter Olympics next month in Vancouver. They have been living here in Toruń for almost 2 years...where they have been training. TORUŃ DAILY PHOTO wishes them both the very best of luck!
