TORUŃ BY NIGHT: Hotel Karczma Spichrz and Mostowa Gate

Continuing our special series of night shots, here is the view on the other side of the gate featured in the last couple of posts. Next to the recently restored gate is the Hotel Karczma Spichrz. The building used to be a granary and has now been beautifully renovated and turned into a hotel. The hotel also boasts a traditional Polish restaurant where you can enjoy rustic meals and even listen to a spot of live folk music!

TORUŃ BY NIGHT: Through the archway

Following on from yesterday's post, this is the view looking through one of the arches in the city wall at Ul. Mostowa. This archway is pedestrianised, whereas cars can drive through the main gate just off to the right. The steps on the left lead up to the Hotel Karczma Spichrz (which was also visible in yesterday's post).

TORUŃ BY NIGHT: City Walls

Today's picture, the first of a new series of Toruń night shots, shows part of the old city walls that run alongside the River Vistula. Here we are looking towards the gate that leads into Ul.Mostowa. The black and white building that you can see in the distance jutting out, is part of the Karczma Spichrz hotel (an old granary that has since been converted into an upmarket hotel).
