Machine vs. Beast!

A few days ago these young Polish lads were seen having fun pushing this elaborate looking-motorcycle in the Old Town. They needed several guys to actually push it around the old square...as the engine didn't work. It couldn't go far...but it was still a real nice set of wheels. Here they are comparing it to Toruń's famous asinine scultpure...the legendary 'Toruń Donkey'!

Treetop Fun!

With the weather generally be great at the moment...Barbarka forest is once again inundated with tourists. The main attraction is this treetop assualt course. With it's array of ropes and flying foxes...divided into different levels of difficulty...it is guranteed fun for the whole family!!!

GETTING THEIR BEER MONEY!!!

It's that time of year again...when the students dress up in crazy costumes and beg for money. Not to raise for charity...but simply to fund their beer drinking lifestyle!! At least they're honest...and many people are quite happy to give them some cash. This year's JUWENALIA is shaping up to be a fun event with many incredible and ingenious costumes (though perhaps too many witches and goblins!!).

Treetop Adventure

People come from all corners of Poland to try this exciting treetops assault course deep in the Barbarka forest (12km north of Toruń). Come and try it sometime...are you brave enough?

Kids Just Wanna Have Fun!

This slope located near the central bus station is always popular with kids in winter. You can see why!

These local boys were having a whale of a time in the market square last night! Mind you...bet that snow was very heavy...it was almost the same size as him!

Make a list of 6 interesting things about yourself.

1. I once went on the Xtreme Skyflyer at Canada's Wonderland. The reason I went: because I knew nobody would believe I would do something like that. If it weren't for my friend Jenn we would still be up at the top of the tower because there was no way I was going to pull the ripcord. I was too cheap to pay for the video but you can see other daredevils do it here (Mom don't watch):



2. In my younger days I was a hell of a base stealer. It wasn't a good game if my uniform didn't get dirty. I had to get walked to get on base though as I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. I bat left handed and once stopped a pitch with my eye.

3. I have eaten both alligator and kangaroo meat. Would I eat them again? No.

4. When someone in the town I live in dies, they hang a sign in the window with the person's name on it. Everytime I drive by the funeral home I look to see if someone has died. Anybody reading this and saying they don't is a liar. ;)

5. I am addicted to soap operas. I have watched Days of Our Lives for 18 years and have a love/hate relationship with it. I currently hate it with the fire of a thousand suns. I have been watching General Hospital for 8 months and love it. When I was a kid I watched Another World with my mom and grandmother. I even watched Sunset Beach for a brief period in college. ::runs and hides in shame::

6. I love to watch old movies with my favourite movies being ones starring Cary Grant. I also like anything with Gregory Peck, Jimmy Stewart, Bing Crosby, Audrey Hepburn, etc. I think that many of the high ranking old movies are overrated. I didn't like Casablanca at all and Breakfast at Tiffany's was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. ::ducks from flying tomatoes::
