To Swim Or Not To Swim...
The creek may look inviting to my pooch, but I think even she has sense enough not to take a dip in the chilly salt water.

Winterscape
It doesn't take much snow and cold to change the look of the landscape.
I continue to have internet problems . . . I keep telling my provider that it is at the pole. Be back soon as I can.

Golden Crystal Shores
The Blacks Creek Estuary never ceases to provide wondrous scenes for the eye of the beholder. I will pause this blog here while I take a little travel break gathering some new "Travel Tuesday" images. Aloha & Happy Skywatch Friday!

The Curtains Open, A New Year Begins
Happy New Year to all Quincy Daily Photoblog followers! On this first day of the month and new year, I have chosen to post a favorite image from 2012. The clouds are a great metaphor for change that comes with a new year and the ever-changing Blacks Creek is one of Quincy's most beautiful places to photograph. I am looking forward to capturing & sharing more images from Quincy in 2013.

Cotton Shores
The wet snow made this scrub vegetation along Blacks Creek really stand out. Happy Monochrome Monday on this last day of 2012!

Tree Mystery
When does a tree trunk become a branch? Can a tree have more than one trunk? This tree was captured near Pageant Field.

Duck, Duck, Dinner!
Duck hunting season has begun along coastal waterways in Quincy. I met Lee yesterday in a phragmites blind along Blacks Creek. He lives in Quincy and told me that he has been duck hunting for 30 years and eats what he shoots.
This busy recreational area is enjoyed by people of all ages and interests. To ensure a safe environment for all, it might help if signs were posted about hunting season to inform a largely unaware public about this activity . . . it couldn't hurt.

Return To Blue Sky
Black's Creek estuary had a higher than normal tide yesterday and provided some nice reflections amongst the drifting wood. Happy Skywatch Friday!

Foggy Creek
There hasn't been much sky to see lately. I do however, like the atmosphere created by the fog at Blacks Creek estuary. Happy Skywatch Friday!

The recreation department boats have been stored away until next summer. Good times were had by all at Blacks Creek. Happy Skywatch Friday! Click here to see skies from around the world.
