So Frenchy, so chic.....

The first time I visited Bistro des Artistes was over the Christmas/New Year period, et oui, fermé pour les vacances! I had heard so many good things that a return visit was always on the cards, I wasn't disappointed. The decor is elegant but not intimidating, the waitresses French, chic and gorgeous.. it was pleasing to see that everyone, including workmen looking for a café et pâtisserie during their morning break, got the same super friendly welcome. If you have a minute to read about the two fabulous chefs Alain Fabregues and Emmanuel Mollois you will get an idea of how lucky we are that they both fell in love with Perth..naturellement!!
There was of course, the well stocked cellar essential to any self respecting French bistronomie, but as always pour moi it's all about the coffee and pastry. Oh la! la! No more do I have to steel my nerves to fly all the way to Paris (but you know I will) for the perfect pastry, it's here, 20 minutes away..oh joy! I'm definitely going to use the memory of the perfect pain au chocolat to get me through any difficult moments today, hopefully you'll have something equally delicious to do the same. Happy Friday (that came quickly!), take care and stay safe.....
