See you in 2017.....!!

This view of the Horseshoe Bridge, built in 1903 to accommodate traffic crossing over the Fremantle to Perth railway line is looking straight down Roe St. in Northbridge. Named because of it's shape, it was designed to take up minimal space in an already crowded urban environment. At the end of 2009 the bridge, which is on the heritage list, was closed for a five million dollar restoration and conversion to two-way traffic, reopening in June  2010. You can clearly see the division between the CBD and Northbridge (clubs, restaurants etc.), this will change with work starting soon on a new town square (check it out, it will be fabulous) starting with the sinking of the rail line. The new area is scheduled to be completed by 2017, so I think you should mark that date in your calendars and schedule a trip to Perth for the grand opening, what do you think.....?
