I was a bit taken aback when I looked up to see a monk standing staring out towards the water, immediately I thought 'can it be!' he looked about the right height and weight. The Dalai Lama (Dalai meaning Ocean and Lama, teacher or guru) has visited Perth on a few occasions and I was furiously trying to remember if I'd read anywhere that he was here right now. Once my excitement was replaced by common sense (yeh right!) I realized that even from the back you could tell he was much younger, and that the Dalai Lama probably wouldn't be strolling around the marina by himself.. or maybe he would!! I'm thinking that perhaps this monk was gazing over at the Wind Rose and contemplating... 'Ommmmmmm! what a 'divine' sculpture, could it be used to fathom the path of the winds... !' Or, he could be looking over at Jetty's and wondering what to have for brekkie!! It's going to be a beautiful 32C day in Perth today, it's amazing the difference 5 degrees makes.
