day 249 - it's the most wonderful time of the year

Big day today. First day of SK and first day of "the balanced day". Two 40-minute breaks instead of three recesses, with 15 minutes to eat and 25 minutes to play.

I had the day off and was happy to have the chance to take Ava to school on her first day. I got to sit with Ava and listen to her stories while we sat in the car waiting for her best friend to arrive.




I'm going to miss her so much.

I suspect she may not miss us quite as much.



I wonder why.
