The weather was surprisingly warm (over 20C) this weekend so we packed our bags and headed up to the Baltic coast (namely Sopot and Gdynia). After a 4hr train journey we disembarked in Sopot - a classically elegant seaside resort. We walked along the pier and admired the luxurious Grand Hotel (where Adolf Hitler and Fidel Castro once stayed) and then walked 10km to Gdynia along the sandy beach with the warm waters of the Baltic lapping at our feet. A perfect weekend away!
