day 204 - one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish

When I was growing up, the only pets my sister and I had were fish. Hardly exciting, but they are still more my speed than a hamster or any other member of the rodent family.



Today the kids and I went to Petsmart and we bought three little betta fish who will (hopefully) have a lifespan of two to three years. A longer lifespan than I was planning on, but cleaner and the best pet that $4.49 can buy.

I give you the three new members of the family:

Wonderful Woman McDougall (Ava's fish),



Spiderman McDougall (Ethan's fish)



and MoQueen McDougall (Owen's fish)



I lobbied hard for one of the kids to name their fish Minion but I got outvoted by all three. What a shame. That would have been epic.
