This may be the only purple colored house in Quincy! The owner of this Dutch Colonial Revival on the corner of Lincoln and Winthrop Avenue, said that he painted his house purple to pay homage to one of his favorite childhood books: "Mr. Pine's Purple House." This story by Leonard P. Kessler, first published in 1965, it is a story of the triumph of individualism. Has anyone else read this memorable children's story?
